Choose the starting context
Use a product workflow when the article should refer to the current product. Use Scheduled content for a collection or topic workflow without a product row. Pick the supported collection or supply a topic and give the writing step a clear audience and purpose.
Build the stages you need
- Blog Ideas: suggest candidates from store or collection context. Previous titles can help reduce repeated subjects where that history is available.
- Web Research: optionally gather outside context with a depth, search limit and domain rules. Inspect the returned source links.
- Generate Blog Article: create the local draft with your language, tone, style, audience and instructions. Optional FAQ and CTA settings shape the writing; they do not guarantee commercial results.
- Blog SEO: refine the latest draft's search metadata and optional tags while retaining the body.
- Blog Image: generate a cover for the latest draft with its own visual direction and alt settings.
- Review / Approval: wait for a decision before the next action.
- Publish Blog Article: send the reviewed draft to the selected Shopify blog.
Content-only workflows support the compatible research, blog, logic, variable, delay, review and notification steps. Product-only steps and a writing step that requires a current product do not fit Scheduled content.
Edit the draft in Content
Open Blog drafts to review the title, body, summary, SEO fields, focus keyword and tags. Save edits or choose Save & mark reviewed. The Content screen never publishes by itself.
Place approval before Blog Publish when you want a person to decide whether the workflow continues. Approval does not reverse earlier actions. The Blog Publish step's reviewed requirement is configurable; check it rather than assuming every flow requires review.
Configure the Shopify action
Choose an existing Shopify blog, author and publication mode: Shopify draft, immediate or scheduled for a future date and timezone. Decide whether generated SEO and the cover should be included.
The article and generated-image actions need the appropriate Shopify permissions. If a cover cannot be uploaded, inspect the permission/error and decide whether publishing without the generated cover is appropriate.
Check before publication
Verify factual claims, cited sources, product references, links, tone, metadata and the cover. A saved local draft that already created a Shopify article is not a continuous synchronization source: later local edits do not update that article automatically.
Start with a test, then a small schedule
Test simulates Shopify writes, but AI, research and image generation can use Credits. Run now uses the saved draft for a real execution. Scheduled work uses the published workflow version while active.
